Candy Cups

I found these cute little nut/candy cups for $1 at the thrift store, and here is what I have been working on. This is my version of a candy/ nut cup, these are about 3 1/2 inc. tall. You can give these as a gift with candy stuffed inside, like a party favor or as decoration. These are just one each of a set of four all designed differently with a similar color palate. I will be working on Christmas ones soon.

M.S World!

Its a Martha Stewart World! Yep, Martha Stewart has a new line called "Create and Celebrate" at you guessed it Walmart! The line is made up of glitters, glues, stamps, scrapbook kits and I got these adorable ribbon style tags. The line is a light-green and white label, only a shade or two away from the pale green that Martha Stewart popularized. The prices are great and I always go to Walmart :)

Masquerade Ball

The Bazaar is in October and I have just begun to make some items. Last year I created Halloween pea pots here and this year I am using a Masquerade Ball theme as my inspiration. Think of the scene from Labyrinth and these pics. I will be using feathers, glitter, jewels, harlequin pattern, lace, crepe and silhouettes.

Long Overdue

I went with my mom to visit my sister in Long Beach. It was so much fun hanging out and hitting up the local thrift stores with them. I came home with about a yard of really cool fabric I plan to use as pillows or wall art in the master bedroom. I also found this beautiful table cloth for only $2.99 its not perfect (has a few stains) but I had to have it. I plan to use it as a table cloth for my table at the craft bazaar in October.

Vintage Kids

I go through phases when I shop at thrift stores, last year was vintage projectors and slides, this happened when I sold 2 on eBay and once I saw an interest I was on the lookout. Now I am on this vintage baby/kids kick. I found that adorable pink baby's book a few weeks back, I found those adorable Josep Originals, and a few days ago I came upon this sweet Baby's Nest Egg by Plakie in perfect condition still in its shrink wrap.

Plates

I love the idea of decorating with plates. Going to the thrift stores I come across tons of unique plates with really pretty colors and patterns rarely can you find a set, but sometimes a plate is just too pretty not to get. I now know what do do with all those pretty plates.

Wedding

Saturday we went to David and Jennies wedding. It was a hot one! It came out very pretty. I have to admit I did shed a tear or two. David (My guy's brother) bought Evie (his wife's daughter) a necklace symbolizing that he would be honored for her to have his last name. Everyone busted out the tissue. Of course my guy looked handsome as ever. Here is a pic of the three stooges...I mean the three brothers :) and here I am with my handsome guy.

Make It Work!

I cannot wait for the new season of Project Runway! I have been a fan since the first season. I am excited to see this seasons designers and what challenges they will have. the designers keep getting better and better.

How sweet!

I took some pics of the BBQ we went to at my in laws house. I cant get over how cute my guy looks with his niece(nothing more sweet that seeing a man holding a baby). Here he is relaxing in the pool with his beer and cigar. It was fun catching up with everyone and seeing my adorable niece Isabel.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4Th of July! Growing up it always symbolized the end of summer and getting ready to go back to school.

Josep Originals

I found these adorable Josep Originals, the 3 and 2 girls are not in perfect condition but very sweet. The 6 girl is in perfect condition. I just love the soft colors and the details, just look at the little bear 2 is holding. I also scored this miniature Victorian lady, she is a shaker (salt and pepper) I couldn't find the other part to her but I got her for a $1. This cute little angel was $1 also.And I finished my Shadow box, I think the pictures came out good.
