I have been slowly making my valentine cards for my family and this is what I have so far. They need more color so I think these will be my sample ones.

Be Mine
I had an idea to make a Valentines banner and I finally got it done today. I got 12 pieces of valentines paper at Target for only a $1 and I used crepe paper around my heart cut outs and on allsorts.typepad.com are some really great letter print outs that I used as the lettering "Be Mine" I think it came out good. I plan to hang it on my fireplace.

Brought To You By The Salvation Army
Yesterday I must say one of my most laziest days so far this year. I did absolutely nothing and it was awesome. I usually hit up the thrift stores early in the morning like most of my fellow thrifters, but like I said it was a lazy day. I went about 3pm and this is what I came home with. A very cute pink bunt cake pan, very retro wrapping paper, a lot of 50 green vintage seam binding, and this very cool card hanger. I wish more thrift stores are open on Sundays because I can only fit in so many on Saturday. :)

Silhouettes
I went to Disneyland the day after Christmas and it was packed! But I had fun because I was with my fiance (he loves Disneyland) We saw all the football players from USC and Illinois, and Kobe Bryant (its the second time seeing Kobe (he must love it too)I absolutely love all the shops on main street, especially all the window displays. I passed by a little shop that does your silhouettes and I had to get one! I have been wanting to get them done and they were only $7 for two copies. They came out so good. The artist just looked at my profile for a sec and she just started cutting free hand. I had these black frames and I had some great wrapping paper that I used as the background (like a matte) Arnt they aw some!!

Happy New Year!!
Welcome 2008! This is going to be a good year I can feel it. We went over to my soon to be brother in laws house for new years eve, we made a detour to a goodwill since he lives so close to one and I have been itching to go to a thrift store for days. Well what do you think I found? I have been wanting this particular item for a while now and if I had the money I would have bought it for myself months ago. A Sizzex machine, a case and 12 sizzlits (about a $75.00 value) For only $5.98!! This so far has been my ultimate find. Man I love a good deal!!!
